Australia's Pig Racing Team coming to the 2013 Maitland Show!

The Maitland AH&F Society is delighted to announce that the Australian Pig Racing Team will be making their debut visit to the Yorke Peninsula at the Maitland Show in 2013.

The Pig Diving has been a favourite with Royal Adelaide Show goers for 20 years and the team have appeared in shows all over Australia.

There are 10 pigs in the team. These highly trained racing pigs are extremely competitive when racing and currently cover the 36 metre track in a little over five seconds. How they finish depends largely on how well they get out of the barrier.

The finale of the production is when Miss Piggy climbs to the top of her diving platform and dives into her specially designed pool which is approximately 4 metres from her platform.
