Maitland show welcome 2021

Welcome to our 142nd Maitland Show, which is to be held on Saturday the 20th of March 2021 at the Maitland Showgrounds. Local Mayor of the Yorke Peninsula Council, Darren Braund will open the show.

This is a fun and COVID SAFE Day for family, friends, visitors and all members of the community. We have an exciting program organized to cater for all age groups and tastes. The program includes the traditional street parade and, weather permitting, fireworks display in the evening. There will be some favourites returning as well as some new entertainment including Dana Bradshaw (Cowgirls with Wings) trick riding and Animals Anonymous.

Family tickets are available for $20.00 from the Show Office prior to the day. The pavilion will have displays of competition entries and exhibits. It is advisable to check closing dates for section entries, so you don’t miss out on these events.

The Show caters for a large variety of food and drink options with different vendors and the Pumpkin Kitchen. There are displays, stalls and side shows to cater for various ages and interests. There will also be an ATM on site this year to make it easier to obtain cash as most of our vendors are only able to take cash payments.

This year will be different to others to combat the challenges of COVID, but the show will be much the same as well, please follow and respect the rules and the volunteers running the event for all of us to have a fun and COVID SAFE day.

In conclusion I would like to thank the Secretaries, Committee, Show Members, Sponsors, Conveners, Judges and Volunteers for their time and efforts to make it a successful and fun day.

Show President Nicholas Rodda
